27th March – Torchlight Procession,

Participate in Hawick’s annual Reivers Festival (26th – 28th March) by joining the “Hot trod” through Wilton Lodge Park, participants and spectators alike should gather at the Common Haugh car park from 6.30, procession leaves 6.45. Lead by Hawick Scout Fellowship Pipe Band the procession will proceed along the main avenue and across the Laurie Bridge. The procession dismisses at Volunteer Park Sports Ground where a Bonfire and Fireworks display will follow (7.30pm).

29th March – Reivers Encampment

This event promises to be one of the showpieces of the festival, an excellent day out for all the family with lots of opportunities to get involved with the re-enactors, archers and crafts people, and did we mention, it’s all free. This year the park plays host to -

Best of Times worst of Times – Living History group
A Falconry Display

Camp will be raised at 11am upon the North West banks of the River Teviot adjacent to the Park Café, following battle practice and manoeuvres the camp will strike at 4pm, all are welcome. -

4th April (Easter Sunday) – Children’s Easter Egg Hunt

An Easter egg hunt will be held within the Park grounds on Easter Sunday, from 1pm – 2pm. A separate hunt will be held for children under the age of five. The hunt is limited to one egg per child and children taking part are asked to gather at the Café for 1pm. We hope you have a great time and happy hunting.

To be announced – Guthrie Run

In June the Park once more plays host to this internationally supported Motor Cycle tribute to the late Jimmy Guthrie. As is now custom, the run will terminate with a parade through the Park grounds past the Museum to the Guthrie Memorial.
